The Bike MS Tour boasts one of the most scenic and beautiful routes in the country. The Tour rolls along the pacific south coast from scenic Orange County to beautiful San Diego. Communities along the route include Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, San Clemente, Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encinitas, Cardiff by the Sea, Solana Beach, Del Mar, La Jolla, Pacific Beach and Mission Bay. 

Cyclists at all levels of expertise are sure to enjoy this unique weekend of fun, fitness, new friendships and the personal satisfaction of completing a 30, 100 or 150-mile ride to help create a world free of multiple sclerosis.

WHAT TO EXPECT FOR THE WEEKEND

Day One - 30 Mile Riders:


The 30-mile coastal loop of the Bike MS Bay to Bay Tour which begins and ends in Carlsbad on Saturday, October 10, features thirty miles of beautiful route along the coast, Highway 101, complete with roving support-and-gear vehicles and two fully-stocked rest stops. 

Anyone can join! So dust off your beach cruiser, clean the mud off your mountain bike or borrow your neighbor's bicycle and ride! Invite friends and family to enjoy the festivities and cheer you on as you cross the finish line.


Day One - 100-Mile Route Riders:

Arrive at the start line in Irvine, drop-off your luggage, meet your teammates... and you're off!  Or, if you're staying at our host hotel, leave your luggage in the lobby, we'll pick it up, and ride your bike across the parking lot to the start line and you're off! 

The route will then take you south along the gorgeous Southern California coast, down Pacific Coast Highway to the Saturday finish line in Carlsbad at the Westfield Plaza Camino Real.  Enjoy a fully-supported route complete with rest stops approximately every 10-15 miles, support & gear vehicles and first-aid stations.  Route support will close promptly at 5:00pm. 


Day One - Century Challenge Riders:

The Bike MS Tour offers one of the most challenging and scenic Century rides for experienced cyclists in California.  After riding to the north Carlsbad checkpoint, you will embark on the second leg of your Century. 

The route will take you into North San Diego County's beautiful backcountry, with a finishing stretch along the Coast to cool you down.  Century riders must be at the Oceanside lunch checkpoint by 12:30pm  to complete the last leg of the ride.  Century route support will close promptly at 5:00pm.


Day One Finish - Time to Party!!

After you finish the course on Day One, check in your bike at the bike locker, explore the expo area and relax at the massage tent. Then pick up your luggage, ride the shuttle to your hotel to freshen up and return on the shuttle for the overnight festivities!

Meet your fellow Bike MS cyclists for a catered dinner, live music & dancing under the Carlsbad stars. Top Fundraisers and 150 Club members will be treated to VIP perks including admission to the Top Fundraiser tent and/or 150 Club Cabana with complimentary drinks & goodies.


Day Two 100 and 150-mile Route Riders:

Morning hotel shuttles will take you back to the overnight location where you will drop off your luggage, be treated to a satisfying catered breakfast and pick up your bike at the bike locker.

All riders will leave the Carlsbad overnight site and embark on to the final destination at Mission Bay. The ride is primarily coastal, taking you through some of California's most beautiful terrain, including the notorious Torrey Pines Hill!


Day Two Finish:

You deserve a standing ovation when you cross the finish line, and we are going to make sure you have one!  Please invite your family and friends to meet you at the finish line in Mission Bay on Sunday, October 11th.

Lunch and festivities will be available for you and your family. Lunch tickets for friends and family   Full-service buses will bring all riders who registered for post-event transportation back to their cars in Irvine.  Bikes will be transported on moving trucks, provided by Ace Relocation Systems. If you rode the pre-event transportation on Saturday, your car will be waiting for you at the finish line.
