Frequently cyclists encounter unforeseen circumstances while on their bicycles.
SUPPORT YOU CAN COUNT ON - The MS Bike Tour Safety Crew
In the MS Bay to Bay Bike Tour, these situations are easily managed with our active support team, the Safety Crew, including Ride Marshals, SAG Vehicles, motorcycle support, Route Marshals and Rest Stop mechanic and medical personnel. Please remember these dedicated volunteers help keep us safe on the road, so please respect their judgement at all times.

| ROAD SAFETY CREW |
| CARES |
Support and Gear (SAG) vehicles, run by the Coastal Amateur Radio Emergency Services (CARES), are on-hand to provide assistance to riders who need a lift ahead on the route or are experiencing mechanical problems. Don't be shy about taking advantage of them if you feel tired or need assistance. The SAG volunteer drivers know their stuff and have seen it all before! Look for vehicles with SAG signs along the route. |
| MARC |
Our local Motorcycle Amateur Radio Club (MARC) riders are lifesavers! They look out for you on the road and are there for you if you need any help. The MS 150 Road Crew is equipped with radio communications on their bikes and will be able to communicate with the SAG vehicles if you need any medical or mechanical assistance along the road. Please remember that these dedicated volunteers help keep us safe on the road, so please respect their judgment at all times. |
| COURSE MARSHALS |
Volunteer Course Marshals will be placed throughout the route to assist riders with turns, high traffic areas and other areas that cyclists need to be extra careful on the route. |

| EMTs |
There will be trained volunteer medical personnel at the start, at each rest stop, at the overnight and at the Day Two finish line. |
| BIKE MECHANICS |
There will be mechanics on-hand at rest stops to help out with flat tires, gear adjustments and other minor repairs, but it is also a good idea to carry some tools and supplies on your own. |
